DEADLY / BEWARE Just a short time ago there was an article on Yahoo News and a video about a student in the U.S. who drank a bottle of Coke Light and shortly after ate some mints. Apparently, there is some kind of chemical reaction when the two are mixed together. It inflated and burst his stomach and as a result he died. After reading that I clicked on the video and some students were experimenting with the same combination. They placed a Coke Light in the middle of the floor and added mints. I have no idea how many mints, but they were keeping their distance from the bottle. It looked like a geyser rising out of the bottle and appeared to reach at least three feet or more in the air.

FEELINGS / EMOTIONS Emotions can be beneficial or destructive depending on the situation. Like everyone else, I have been through the entire gamut of the good and the bad. It seems impossible to control some emotions. Sadness, grief, sense of loss, which I am feeling now for the loss of my son, is just one side of the spectrum. It pops up when I least expect it and never really goes away. Another side is jealousy. The last relationship I had finally ended when it reached a point of no return because of insane jealousy on the part of the other person. I believe that is a sickness. Giving that person the benefit of a doubt that they might overcome the problem, I tried three times and each time was worse. It is a little like the person that keeps hitting himself over the head with a hammer. Someone asks: “Why do you keep hitting yourself over the head with a hammer?” He replied: “Because it feels so good when I stop.” Then there is anger, hate and vengefulness. These feelings, if left unchecked, can eat a person alive and eventually may manifest themselves in the form of physical ailments. If you never vent your anger, etc. directly to that person they never know how you are thinking and the damage is only to yourself. As difficult as it may seem, one has to just “Let it go” as the saying goes.

INDEX PH / BLOOD PH
For those of you that are familiar with the importance of Body PH, here is a simple formula to determine your Index Ph which is the PH of your blood. Index Ph results work the opposite of Urine PH. In other words, Urine Ph is determined to be Alkaline when it is in area of 7 or above. Index Ph is Alkline when the results indicate 7 or below. Here is the formula for Index PH: Respiratory Rate per minute – (Length breath Hold/5) = Index PH Example: Say your relaxed breathing rate is 12 times per minute and you are able to hold your breath for 40 seconds ( do not try to set some kind of record). That would equal: 12 – (40/5) or 12 – 8 = 4 Which would indicate that your blood is alkaline, which is good.
